After midnight
Off campus, among the places that publish their hours, it's Subway or delivery. Chemistry closes at midnight, Medici at eleven on a Friday, and everything else on this list has already closed. On campus, Maroon Market in Bartlett and Midway Market next to Cathey stay open until 1 am every day. For a meal at 1 am, you walk to 53rd and Dorchester or take RideSmart, or you order in.
Subway is also on Pool, a food deals app for UChicago students, with 2-for-1 subs live from Monday, September 28. The deal covers every sub except 5 Meat Italian, Steak & Avocado and Chicken & Avocado, and paid extras aren't included. The app is free for verified UChicago students. Subway lists the store as open 24 hours, but the deal runs in booked windows, so check the app before you count on it at 1 am.

Get PoolOn campus, after the dining halls close
The dining halls close at 8:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 7:30 pm on Friday. After that, Dining's own pages list Pret in the Reynolds Club until 11 pm every day, Capriotti's subs in the Midway Cafe from 6 pm to midnight Sunday to Thursday, and the two markets until 1 am. Cheesie's at Tiffin in International House is open until midnight too, but only for people with I-House access. Fourth Meal, on your meal plan
If you're on a meal plan, the dining halls serve a late meal Monday to Thursday, 9 pm to midnight, starting week 3 of the quarter. It's dine-in only, with no to-go. Dining's site has the location.
That gets you four nights a week until midnight. Friday, Saturday and anything after twelve aren't covered. The dining halls guide explains the rest of how the plans work.
Getting back
RideSmart is free for students from 5 pm to 4 am inside its service area. You book it through the RideSmart by Via app. The 171 and 172 buses are free with your UCID.
Places that don't publish hours
Every hour above comes from the venue's own website, most recently checked September 29, 2026. I couldn't confirm published hours for Daisy's Po'Boy and Tavern, Salonica, The Nile, Hyde Park Gyros, Bob's Pizza or Insomnia Cookies. The Maroon reports Union Submarine Shop on 51st as open 24 hours, and I haven't confirmed that yet.
